USDA reports that only 6% of corn acres and 1% of soybeans were still in the field as of Nov. 25.
Of the major corn producing states, only Illinois is finished harvesting. Iowa is at 96%, Nebraska 94%, Minnesota 96% and Indiana 95%. The overall 5 year average for this date is 96%. A year ago, 94% of all corn was out of the field.
Illinois is finished harvesting soybeans. Iowa only has 2% left to go. Minnesota has 1% still in the field, Nebraska 1% left to go and North Dakota is finished.
