In today’s episode of Farm Equipment’s Used Equipment Remarketing Roadmaps podcast, host Casey Seymour LLC sat down with Dirk Mitchell of Mitchell Equipment, a single store Case IH dealership in Atkinson, Neb.
Casey and Dirk got things started talking about the potential for used combine sales this fall. They also discussed how customers are reacting commodity prices and tariffs and how the tariffs have impacted equipment sales.
Casey and Dirk also talk about Mitchell Equipment’s history as being a single store, merging with another dealership and then returning to a one-store operation. They also talk about how the market shifted after the end of May and some concern over the used combine market. Casey says he’s still bullish about the equipment market.
Finally they discuss the used planter market where Dirk says he's likely is going to need to buy inventory to fill customer needs. They also get into the challenges of selling late model used equipment
