Update to Article July 26, 2018 — On July 22, 2018, a fire resulted in significant damage to the Cervus Equipment John Deere Rosthern dealership. No one was injured as a result of the incident.
To meet customer commitments and maintain service levels, Cervus Equipment Rosthern has implemented an operational plan to keep customers going.
The dealership continues to offer equipment servicing, using nearby facilities, and mobile service as usual. Starting the week of July 30, the branch will provide parts support out of an alternative on-site building, located south east of the of the original dealership.

Temporary administrative and sales offices will be set up shortly and used for the next year as the original dealership is torn down and a new, larger facility is built.

Globalnews.ca is reporting that fire destroyed a Cervus Equipment dealership in Rosthern, Sask., on Sunday morning. According to the report, “The damage estimate is expected to run into the millions of dollars.”
Cervus Equipment said in a statement that the fire resulted in significant damage to the business, which will be closed until further notice.
The company said in a statement that it understands the impact the blaze may have on the community, customers and employees, and that its Rosthern staff will be developing a plan that will include support from its dealerships in Saskatoon and Prince Albert.
“Our top priority is safety and right now we’re focused on ensuring the area is safe,” said Cervus Equipment president and CEO Graham Drake.
The Rosthern outlet is among 62 Cervus Equipment dealerships in Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The company has locations across Western Canada as well as in Ontario, while its Canadian corporate office is situated in Calgary.
Besides John Deere, Cervus also carries the Peterbilt, JLG, Clark, Sellick and Doosan brands.
