John Deere released its North American May retail sales statement on June 12. While industry retail combine sales were up 12%, Deere reported its retail sales were up more than the industry average. The company also performed better than the industry average of up 9% for 4WD tractor retail sales in May. Deere’s high horsepower tractor sales, however, performed worse than the industry.
Deere also reported on its dealer inventories for April. Across the board, inventories for Deere dealers were lower than the industry.
