Two Farm Equipment articles and one Farm Catalog piece were recognized in the 2017 Azbee Awards of Excellence in the Upper Midwest Regional Design, Online and Print category.

The Azbees honor is presented by the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) to the best in business-to-business media, recognizing outstanding work by B2B, trade, association and professional publications. One of the most competitive award programs for trade media, the Azbees highlight editorial, online and design excellence within magazines, newsletters and digital media.

The Farm Equipment entries, a special “Dealership Minds” Edition of the magazine and a special report titled “After the Ink Dries: The First 100 Days Post-Acquisition,” won the Regional Bronze Award and Regional Gold Award respectively.

Six Farm Equipment editors traveled more than 14,000 miles to visit 5 different sites of a little-known multi-dealer group in California for the February 2016 ‘Dealership Minds’ Edition. The collection of articles addressed 12 different jobs within the organization and how they work together in making the company an industry leader.

Farm Equipment editors created the special report for the June 2016 issue on the first 100 days after an acquisition in response to the rapid consolidation among mergers and acquisitions in the industry. The report consists of 8 articles that include best practices on successful integration of dealership cultures and what dealers should focus on in the first 100 days.

The Farm Catalog article on the thought processes and planning behind important farm decisions received the Regional Silver Award in the category of Print, Single Topic Coverage by a Team in the Upper Midwest.

Azbee logoThe Farm Catalog article outlines 5 real-world challenges farmers face and recommendations from professional farm management consultants for each one. Each situation also comes with discussion questions.

As stated publicly, Farm Equipment editors "say what needs to be said, when it needs to be said and actively seek to address the issues keeping dealers up at night. About the Annual Farm Catalog

The Annual Farm Catalog for Today's Top Farm Operator is a once-a-year magazine, currently in its 28th year, that conveys important product and business information to 60,000 large (1,000-acre-plus) farmers in the U.S. It has always been the most relied upon product information source for shortline or specialty equipment (often ignored by the larger mass media outlets), but in recent years has also been expanded to also include high-level, actionable feature report content.
