AXEMA-EurAgEng Conference – Saturday Feb. 25, 2017
To build closer ties between the agricultural machinery industry and the academic and research world, AXEMA is organizing the first edition of its annual conference cycle entitled Les Rendez-vous techniques d'AXEMA. Produced in partnership with the association EurAgEng,* its theme will be: "Ecologically intensive agriculture: an opportunity for innovation in equipment and systems.” The goal is to arouse the interest of academic institutions and laboratories in the scientific and technical issues of agro-equipment, promote the creation of relevant product ranges and services, and attract students toward design consultancies and technical services.
Le SIMA Dealer’s Day-Ting – Monday Feb. 27, 2017
This event takes place in two stages: in the morning a colloquium will take place on the topic “Being a dealer in 10 years” with the presence of dealer associations from Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Poland and the USA, who will together examine the challenges faced by their profession in light of ICT development and compare their visions and experiences. The afternoon will be given over to business meetings between exhibitors and dealers. This event is organized in association with SEDIMA, CLIMMAR (the distributors’ network in Europe) with additional contributions from EMDA for the USA and CAMDA for China.
Increasing International Exhibitor Numbers
SIMA continues to attract exhibitors from a wide range of countries. This increased international contingent is illustrated by the arrival of new participants, most notably exhibitors from Korea, China and India, but also from Turkey and North America.
Redesigned Sector Layout
The event’s stand space sales are currently substantially up on the same period in 2015, with 98% of available surface area booked to date. To accommodate its new exhibitor intake, SIMA 2017 now stretches from hall 2 to hall 7. Hall 2 will host the SIMAGENA Ring as well as part of the milking and livestock machinery sector that will also spread to hall 3. Furthermore, while all the market leaders have booked their space, some sectors have expanded considerably, such as New Technology and On-board Electronics in hall 4, whose offering has increased notably in relation to the last edition of SIMA. Also, thanks to the creation of a Start-up village this year, around 15 start-ups will be able to exhibit for the first time.
