As Solomon wrote over 2500 years there is nothing new under the sun.We saw this at the 2016 Ohio Farm Science Review.I suppose that Racine will claim exclusivity over this like they did the track tractor even tho Caterpillar has the Challenger in 1986.Caterpillar has been testing this autonmous concept with their 793 off highway hauler since 1996.

What is it with some of you Deere backers? I read the article and nobody is claiming that they are the first to do this. They are just discussing what they are working on and why. Walker even goes on to say that they are partnering with another company because they don't have the tech savvy to do it on their own, I believe he said 'we build farm equipment'. It seems that when its not Deere at the forefront a few folks like yourself write comments like you just did and make the other Deere supporters look childish.

We have gotten so sick & tired of those in Racine sitting by sitting by silently while New Holland & Versatile introduces their 4 track tractors.Within a year a John Deere introducing their 9RXs Racine lined up 10 farmer mouth pieces to promote their propaganda on a product that is more of a niche unit more then anything else.I am still waiting for their comparisons to the blue New Holland Smart Trax & Versatile DT tractors the same way they promoted against John Deere. It least Deere & Company is a American owned manufacturer

Wow, the last comments by John Deere Stockholder took some rereading to try and understand what was being said. Even then it doesn't make any sense. It lacks an intro, followed by making ones points, and finally a conclusion.
We've all seen posts written by this individual and Deere backers and non Deere backers alike are all embarrassed by what is being written. That's fine, people can have their opinion. I would just like to see the editors here send this back to this person and request a corrected copy adhering to the above before its allowed to be posted here.
