Following a successful rollout across Louisiana and Tennessee, AgDNA is set to bring their next generation of precision ag services to growers in Mississippi via an all new partnership with Parker Tractor Co. The Tunica County based John Deere dealer will deliver the innovative precision farming platform to help Mississippi growers maximize profitability through data management tools that focus on increasing yield and lowering operating costs.
The Parker Tractor branded platform integrates directly with in-field machinery to automatically analyze agronomic data as it streams from John Deere equipment during operation. Both AgDNA and Parker Tractor believe that this near-real time information access is critical to producing actionable insights that allow growers to make informed decisions throughout the season.
“We have investigated a lot of potential data management solutions to offer our customers and the AgDNA platform stood head and shoulders above the rest”, said Jeff Horn, general manager of Parker Tractor. “Our ability to provide Mississippi growers with real time agronomic information from their John Deere equipment that is complimented with weather, soil and imagery data specific to their farm is a big leap forward”.
AgDNA CEO Paul Turner is excited at the prospect of expanding the enterprise level data management service via Parker Tractor into Mississippi. With over 350,000 acres of leading growers already signed onto the platform across the Delta, he believes it’s a sign that dealerships are moving away from the fragmented approach to dealing with customer’s farm data. “AgDNA puts everything in one package so you can see your crop performance, agronomic decisions and inventory use all tied back to field profitability” he said. “Every farm is different, so it’s about providing dealers with a platform that can be tailored for each grower on a local level”.
On July 25, the Parker Tractor precision farming mobile app and online platform will be available to growers that are looking to take their operation to the next level by leveraging the latest in data management technology. The app will be available for free on both iOS and Android mobile devices, with account setup available via Parker Tractor.
