SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Hemisphere GNSS Inc. today announced that Xinping Guo has been named interim president and chief executive officer, effective immediately. Guo is also a member of the Hemisphere GNSS Board of Directors.
Guo has extensive experience in GNSS OEM and direct sales market segments including survey and mapping, GIS, machine control, marine, avionics, personal (mobile) navigation, and tracking systems. He is chairman and general manager of Beijing UniStrong Science & Technology Co. Ltd., which owns 100% of Hemisphere GNSS. Guo is a proven executive with the experience and expertise to lead Hemisphere as it conducts an executive search for a new president and chief executive officer to lead the company’s future growth and development.
In conjunction with the reported change in management, Hemisphere is also announcing the departure of Charles Joseph, the company’s previous president and CEO, effective today. Werner Gartner, Hemisphere’s chairman of the Board, commented, “Chuck was instrumental to the ongoing development of the company since joining Hemisphere in early 2014, including the creation and launch of Athena, the company’s next-generation GNSS engine, and Atlas, the company’s innovative GNSS global correction service.
