Earlier this year, WEDA established the WEDA Foundation, with a purpose to provide funding for charitable purposes related to the shortage of properly trained technicians for WEDA members.
The Foundation’s mission is to continue our support for the WEDA Industrial and Farm Equipment Technician Program at OSU Institute of Technology, and to establish scholarship programs at post-secondary education institutions for deserving students and member employees interested in pursuing a degree program relative to the equipment industry.
The WEDA Foundation is seeking donations for it's very first WEDA Foundation Online Auction. Auction items must be received at the WEDA office by Monday, January 11, and the auction will be ongoing until Monday, February 1. Such items as golf packages, hotel packages, sporting event tickets, equipment toys, electronics and other tangible goods would be welcomed. (Tickets would be for events that occur after February 2016.) The value of the items would be tax deductible to the donor.
By raising funds, WEDA aims to help members get one step closer to filling technician vacancies. If you can help this year, complete the attached donation form, and then send your donation to the address on the form. If you have questions, please contact Olivia Holcombe at 800-762-5616.
