Covehead, PEI —  In response to increasing grower demand and as a result of Atlantic Tractor & Equipment’s decision to serve the agricultural industry with only CAT products,Claas of America has made immediate plans to expand its dealer presence on Prince Edward Island with the addition of its newest dealer, Allan Equipment Manufacturing Ltd. The move, part of a planned dealership expansion in Canada, will ensure that Claas customers in the region will receive superior support.

“Canada is an important world market for Claas. We recently opened a Parts and Logistics Centre in Regina and are now taking similar measures to ensure our dealer network throughout the country is just as strong," explained Christopher Gittens, vice president of Dealer Development for Claas of America.

Allan Equipment will carry all Claas equipment lines, including Lexion combines, Jaguar forage harvesters, Xerion tractors, and Claas balers and hay tools. Having served the area for more than 50 years, Allan Equipment is well prepared to handle the new line of high performance equipment.   

"Allan Equipment has a long history of excellent service. We stand behind all our products 110%. Our team knows what customers need and expect from their dealer and know how to deliver,” explained co-owner and sales manager, Trent Cousins. “Almost all of our current customer base use or could use a Claas product on their farm or in their business. This will diversify our offerings as well as give better access to another high quality product line to our customers.”
