Like the precision farming segment of their business in general, farm equipment dealers are still grappling with the best way to handle the sale of parts for precision farming products.
In Farm Equipment’s survey of North American dealers about the performance of their parts department, it also explored how dealerships handle the sale of parts for their precision farming products.
Results of the survey indicated that more than half (53%) of dealers handle precision components through their parts department, about one-third (34%) sell them through their wholegoods department. The remaining 13% of dealers have a separate precision farming department that handles sales of parts and components.
