Sloan Implement, a John Deere dealer with locations in southwestern Wisconsin and throughout Illinois, acquired the two Stevens Implement locations in Havana and Petersburg, Ill. With the addition of these two locations, Sloan now has 19 locations.
In an email to Farm Equipment, Dennis Stevens, one of the owners of Stevens Implement, said they sold their dealership to Sloan Implement on August 11 of this year.
John and Helen Stevens founded Stevens Implement in 1957 when they purchased the John Deere dealership in Petersburg. With their son Ron, they later added the location in Havana. Stevens Implement today was being run by the third generation of the Stevens family, Ron Stevens’ sons, Dennis, Drew and Derrick Stevens.
Dennis and Drew Stevens still serve as store managers at the Havana and Petersburg stores, and many of the dealerships staff are still employed by Sloan Implement. On its website, Sloan Implement says, “We would like to welcome the staff and customers from these two locations and we look forward to working with you in the future.”
