FARGO - CNH Industrial officials said Thursday the company is reducing its Fargo manufacturing facility workforce by 38 full-time positions.

The workers were informed of the plan Wednesday, the company said in a written release.

The company said it was responding to “market conditions.”

The layoffs, described by the company as “indefinite,” are to start in June and be completed by July.

The move follows a step taken in February when the maker of agricultural and construction equipment announced it was laying off 80 full-time workers.

That was preceded by an announcement late last year that CNH Industrial was laying off 40 full-time workers.

The Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce’s 2015 directory, comprised prior to the latest string of layoffs, indicated CNH Industrial employs about 1,250 full-time equivalents.

CNH Industrial produces Case IH and New Holland brands.
