The Minnesota-based WASP Inc., has signed a letter of intent to buy Fast Manufacturing, a manufacturer also based in Minnesota that produces sprayer and liquid fertilizer applicator equipment.
WASP began in 1979 manufacturing ground support equipment such as baggage carts and movable stairs for the airline industry. The work has expanded, and the company today exports to 65 countries.
A farmer founded Fast Manufacturing in 1990 seeking to increase productivity of his own operations. In 2014, it opened a 144,000-square foot facility in Windom, Minn.
