M&M Tractor Sales Jump 21% in January

Mahindra & Mahindra's Farm Equipment Sector (FES) division today reported a 21% increase in tractor sales in January, 2011 to 20,499 units. The company had sold 16,879 units during the same month last year.

Domestic sales saw an increase of 22% to 19,430 units as against 15,925 units in the year-ago period. Exports during the month soared by 12% to 1,069 units compared to 954 units in the year-ago month.
