Nearly 20% of Corn Planted, But Still Behind 5 Year Average

As of April 27, USDA reports that 19% of U.S. corn acreage has been planted in the 18 states that planted 91% of 2013 corn acreage.

This compares to only 6% planted a week earlier and 5% planted a year ago. It’s still down from the 5 year average of 28%.
